Robert Schlenvogt

A funeral service for Robert Schlenvogt, 70, of New England, will be 11:00 a. m. CDT, Monday, September 23, 2013 at St. John’s Church in Hebron with Pastor Gaylund Olson officiating. Burial will be at a later date.


Visitation for Robert will be 1:00 p. m. – 4:00 p. m. , Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson and will continue from 10:00 a. m. to 11:00 a. m. , CDT on Monday at St. John’s Church before the service.


Robert passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at St. Benedict’s Health Center in Dickinson.


Robert was born October 15, 1942, the first son of Meta (Duckwitz) and Paul Schlenvogt. He graduated from Hebron High School in 1960. He earned both a Bachelors and a Masters Degree from Dickinson State University in the area of Social Work. Robert was married to Joyce Tcshaekofske and to this union four children were born: Michael, Patrick, Robin and Karl. Robert farmed in the Hebron area from 1966 until 1992. After farming Robert worked as a youth counselor in various facilities in Raleigh, Mandan and Dickinson, North Dakota. He then married Norma Aiperspach, who brought to the family, Kelley, Shauna and Shahara. For the past 15 years Robert was employed by the Herald Newspaper based in New England, North Dakota.


Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Meta and Paul Schlenvogt and his wife Norma. Robert is survived by his four children, Michael of California, Patrick of North Dakota, Karl of Arizona and his daughter Robin Bancroft of Texas; his three step-children, Kelley of Nevada, Shauna of North Dakota and Shahara of South Dakota. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren as well as his brother Timothy from Colorado.
