Robert Walton

A Graveside service was held for Robert Walton Jr. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Dickinson, ND with Father Todd Kreitinger celebrating.


Robert passed away August 30, 2012 in Littlerock, CA.


A celebration of Bob’s life was held September 14, 2012 in Palmdale, CA.


Robert Walton Jr. was born December 5, 1953 in Dickinson, the son of Robert R. Walton Sr. Bob moved to Palmdale in 1960 and attended St. Mary’s, Paraclete and Palmdale High Schools. In the spring of 1973, while attending college in Chico, CA, Bob met the love of his life, Melinda. Bob worked 36 years for the County of Los Angeles as a Senior Building and Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. With his ability to fix anything, Bob served Acton Rehabilitation and Warm Springs well. After his retirement in 2009, Bob started his own maintenance business. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and restoring old cars with his sons. He loved spending time with his family. Like Bob always said, “It’s all about the love.” Bob was a wonderful father, husband, brother, grandpa, son, uncle and friend. He will be in the hearts of many forever.


Bob is survived by his parents, Robert R. Walton Sr. (Joan) of Dickinson, ND and Doris (Krank)Thompson of Palmdale, CA; wife, Melinda Walton; sons, Nathan and Eli Walton; grandchildren, Taylor, Mathew, Sierra and Isabella; siblings, Paul Walton, Janie Walton, Tracy Lollis, BJ (Betty Jo) Petersen and Marymichael Walton; numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
