Roger Bueligen

A funeral service for Roger Bueligen, 72, of New Salem, will be 11:00 a.m. CDT Monday, July 10, 2017 at Peace Church in New Salem with Pastor Joshua Eddy officiating.  Burial will take place in Peace Church cemetery.


Visitation for Roger will be 6:00-7:00 p.m. CDT, Sunday, July 9
th
at Peace Church with a prayer service being held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Monday.


Roger passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.


Roger was born May 26, 1945 in New Salem, the son of Paul and Amelia (Hoherz) Bueligen.   As a young boy, he went to country school in Oliver County.  On October 17, 1964, Roger married Eunice Munder in New Salem at Peace Church.  They made their home on the family farm where they raised their two children.  Roger continued to farm with his Dad and eventually took over the farming and milking operation.  He continued milking until the summer of 2000.  Since then, Roger has continued to help his son on the farm and ranch, up until his hospitalization in May of 2017.  Farming and ranching were truly his pride and joy.  He especially loved to cut hay and feed the cattle.  Roger spent 36 years on the Board of Directors at the New Salem Credit Union.  He also faithfully served on the Council at Peace Church for 12 years.   His grandchildren brought him much joy, and he particularly loved watching them in their sporting events.  He also had a soft spot for dogs and loved playing and spending time with his German Shepherds.


Roger will live on in the memories and hearts of his wife and children and their families: daughter, Paula Forster and husband Wade, their children, MiKaela (Kole Bauer) and Shane; son, David and wife DeAnn, their children DeLayna (Bryce) Allen, Destri (Shelby Schmidt), Dawsen and Davis Bueligen, and one great granddaughter, Brystol Allen who always brought a smile; sister, June (Ron) Doll; one brother-in-law, Marvin Bethke, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.


He is preceded in death by his father, Paul; mother, Amy; step-mother, Clara; and sister, Arlene Bethke.
