Roger Hickey

A Funeral Service for Roger Hickey, 46, of Baker, MT will be at 2:00 p. m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in the Chapel of Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker. Interment will follow in Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker. A reception will be held at Thee Garage and Showroom following the graveside service.


Visitation will be 11:00 a. m. to 2:00 p. m. on Tuesday at Stevenson Funeral Home.


Roger passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at his home south of Baker.


Roger Dreo Hickey was born on July 16, 1966 in Miles City, MT a son of David Gene and Deborah Jean (Nicks) Hickey. He grew up in Baker where he attended Baker public schools. Following school Roger joined the United States Navy. On April 11, 1982, Roger and Stephanie Lynn Stoldorf were married in Miles City, MT. Following his marriage, Roger worked as a roofer and eventually taking on full construction jobs. He became a “Storm Contractor” traveling around the United States doing insurance company restoration work. Roger began doing general construction jobs working between Minot, ND and Baker, MT with the help of his two sons, Dustin and David. Roger had just finished the remodeling of the former Gene Huntley Law Office in Baker. When Roger had some free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his family.


Roger is survived by his wife, Stephanie Hickey, Baker, MT; his children, Dustin Hickey, Baker, MT, Dezarae (Brian) Hickey-Jensen, Gillette, WY, David Hickey, Baker, MT; Daevun Hickey, Dallis Hickey and their mother Tracey Voeller all of Grandville, ND; two grandchildren, Brenner Jensen and Cadence Brown; his parents, Deborah (Roger) Singer, Baker, MT and David (Terry Bondy) Hickey, Baker, MT; his brother, Quentin (Krystal) Hickey of Baker, MT’ his sister, Marc-Annette (Kelly) Steen of Baker, MT and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
