Funeral Services for Ronald Feland, 62, of Dickinson, ND will be 10 a. m. , Monday, June 1, 2009 at Our Saviour?s Lutheran Church with Pastor Noel Vold officiating. Burial will follow at the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 p. m. to 9 p. m. , Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with a prayer service taking place at 7 p. m. Ron passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009 at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND. Ron Feland was born June 12, 1946 in Bottineau County to Arthur and Edith (Engstrom) Feland. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school before finishing at Mohall High School. After school, he worked for Cenex driving fuel truck around the Mohall area. Ron later worked for Clute Office Equipment in Minot and it was during this time that he met Marlene Nelson. The two were united in marriage on August 22, 1970 in Sherwood, ND. To this union, they were blessed with two sons. The family made their home in Minot for a few years before moving to Dickinson. Ron formed a partnership in Dickinson and opened Southwest Business Machines in 1974, which he helped grow and develop until his retirement in January of 2009. A true gentlemen, Ron was unselfish in his actions. Above all he put his family first. He treated his wife with the utmost of respect and raised his kids with love and integrity. Ron loved to hunt, hike, fish and camp. He also enjoyed volleyball and mountain biking. He loved life, cherished his friends and always had an amusing story to share. Ron is survived by his mother, Edith, Mohall, ND; wife, Marlene, Dickinson, ND; sons, Joey, Shoreview, MN and Jamie, Missoula, MT; granddaughter, London; sister, Arlene (Richard) Schelling, Mohall, ND; sister-in-law, Elaine Feland, Antler, ND ; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur and brother, Gabriel.
