Funeral Mass for Ronnie Hubert , 89 of Dickinson is 10:00 a. m. , Thursday, July 13, 2006, St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Austin Vetter officiating. Burial will be in the St. Elizabeth?s Cemetery, Lefor, ND with Military graveside rites presented by the Dickinson Drill Team. A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p. m. , Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel in Dickinson. Ronnie passed away Sunday, July 9, 2006 at his home in Dickinson, ND. Ronnie P. Hubert was born July 6, 1917 to Phillip and Eva (Bittenbinder) Hubert on the family farm south of Taylor, ND. He grew up and attended the Aurora Country School while helping on the farm. After school Ronnie spent several years in the CCC before he was drafted into the United States Army. After WWII he was honorably discharged and returned home to work on the family farm. On April 10, 1945 Ronnie married Mary Kirschenheiter at St. Elizabeth?s Catholic church in Lefor, ND. The couple made their home on the Hubert farm and it was here that they raised their six children. During the early years, he worked at the Lefor Cheese factory all the while taking care of things on the farm. Ronnie called the farm his home for nearly 75 years before he and Mary retired to Dickinson in 1991. Family was very important to Ronnie and he especially enjoyed playing with the kids and later, grandkids and great-grandkids. He also enjoyed playing cards and socializing throughout the surrounding communities of Lefor, Taylor and Gladstone. Ronnie was a member of the Richardton Legion, Lefor Knights of Columbus, and Senior Citizen Club of Gladstone. He is survived by his wife Mary; five sons, Ronald (Susie) Hubert of Mansfield, OH; Daniel (Pat) Hubert of Mansfield, OH; Albert (Mary Lou) Hubert of Mansfield, OH; Leo (Charlene) Hubert of Dickinson, ND; Nelson Hubert of Dickinson, ND; one daughter Carol (Ed) Cowan of Mansfield, OH; one sister, Loretta (Ken) Jacoby of Montgomery, TX; two sisters-in-law, Annie Hubert of Mansfield, OH; Susie Kirschenheiter of Richardton, ND; Nine grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is preceded by both of his parents, a brother Mike; a sister Marge; a granddaughter Chelsey; and a great-grandson Colton.
