Subscription Update Obituary

A Time of Sharing for Rosaelia Herbst, 69, of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Stevenson Funeral Home.  In accordance with Rosaelia’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Visitation for Rosaelia will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00. am., Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Stevenson Funeral Home.

Rosaelia passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Dickinson.

Rosaelia Vallejo was born on August 18, 1949 to Pablo Vallejo and Tila (Jimenez) Vallejo in Sidney, Montana. She grew up in Sidney and graduated from Eureka, CA. After graduation, Rose enlisted in the United States Army in Oakland, CA. She was honorably discharged in July 1969. During her time in the service, she received a degree in accounting.

Rose married Gary Herbst on August 18, 1984 in Sidney, Montana. The couple lived in Sidney until moving to Billings, Montana. After Gary’s passing in 2004, Rose moved to Dickinson, ND to enjoy her retirement.

Rose enjoyed shopping, yard sales, sewing, computer card games, fishing, and bowling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids as well as visiting with her family and friends.

Rose is survived by her children, Monica Watson of Dickinson, Jerry Watson of Sidney, MT, Weston Dent of New Leipzig, Gary Herbst Jr. of Helena, MT, and Chasta Herbst of Sidney, MT; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers William Paul (Doris) Vallejo, Peter Richard (Jean) Vallejo, Frank (Leilani) Vallejo, and Adrian Vallejo; and sisters Angelina (Pat) Cormier, and Natalie Vallejo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary; daughter, Christal; son, Shawn; and sister, Mary Victoria Dige.
