Rosalind Gottfredson

Funeral services for Rosalind Gottfredson, 78 of Dickinson will be held 10:00 a. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel with Father Dennis Schaefer celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph?s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is from 2:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Sunday, June 19, 2005 with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p. m. Rosalind passed away Thursday, June 16, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center. Rosalind was born on December 17, 1926, in Regent, the daughter of Jacob and Regina (Matz) Wilhelm. She attended Regent Elementary School. Later she moved with the family to Dickinson where she attended and graduated from Dickinson Trinity High School. Following graduation she attended St. Alexius School of Nursing. She became a Registered Nurse and moved to California to work. A few years later she moved to Caleinte, Nevada and it was here that Rosalind met and married Robert Gottfredson. . To this union, a son Rondo was born. Rosalind continued her occupation as a nurse as the family made their home in Nevada. After the loss of both her husband and son,? Rosalind moved to Elgin, ND where she continued in nursing until retiring in 1997. She moved to Dickinson and became a resident of St. Benedict?s Health Center. Rosalind was an avid reader and had a growing collection of over 500 books. Survivors include one brother: Jack (Fran) Wilhelm, Bismarck, ND; three sisters, Fran Traub, Palm Springs, CA; Jan Larson, Sacramento, CA; Kay Newby, Dickinson, ND; and several nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, son Rondo and a brother, Harry Wilhelm.
