Rose died at St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Dickinson, ND on December 1, 2010 at the age of 88. Rose Roller was born May 18, 1922 at Scheffield, the daughter of Adam and Rose (Huschka) Roller. On November 8, 1949, Rose married Pete N. Anton at St. Pius Catholic Church in Sheffield. Rose and Pete were involved in farming for several years in the New England, Mott and Lefor areas. During their marriage, Pete and Rose also lived in Bismarck, Billings, Belfield and Reno, Nevada. They loved to travel and visited many states in the United States. Rose had worked as a school custodian for a time and just loved interacting with the children at the school. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery and made many lovely pieces for herself and others over the years. Rose loved gardening and growing flowers. However, her greatest love was for old-time music. She played the keyboard and accordion and enjoyed entertaining family and friends with her music. Rose was a member of the Pioneer Singers at Pioneer Haven and performed with this group at area care centers and hospitals. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Rose enjoyed visiting with family and friends and always appreciated getting letters, cards or photos to share. She was generous and often offered a meal or gifts to others. Rose is survived by her sister, Theresia Anton, of Huntley, MT. , her brother, Andrew Roller (Leona), of Laurel, MT and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Anton, her sisters Agnes Huck , Veronica Hellman and Ida Fried and her brothers, Jerome Roller, Ralph Roller, Alex Roller and Leo Roller.
