Rose Mary Duppong, 77, of Glen Ullin, died Saturday, August 23, 2008 at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM Central Time on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin with Father Joseph Arul as Celebrant. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the church with Vigil Services at 7:00 PM. Burial will be held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Glen Ullin. Rose Mary was born September 17, 1930 at Paducah, KY, the daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Wurth) Willett. She was raised in Paducah and educated at St. John?s Elementary and St. Mary?s Academy where she was graduated in 1949. She worked for S. S. Kresge Co. , which was the original K-Mart Store. On November 8, 1960 she married Nick Duppong in Paducah, Ky. Following marriage they moved to the Duppong farm near Glen Ullin. The church was an important part of Rose?s life; she served as a lector, was a member of the welcoming committee, and was the treasurer for the Christian Mothers for many years. Along with raising her family, Rose worked hard on their dairy farm preparing the fruits and vegetables for winter, canning, and quilting. When the grandchildren came into their lives, she and Nick enjoyed taking care of them. In her spare time Rose enjoyed a good game of cards, or a challenging game of Scrabble. Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband of 47 years, Nick Duppong, Glen Ullin, ND; her daughters and sons-in-law: Anna and Tom Six, Steele, ND; Margaret and Roby Kottre, Bismarck, ND; and her son and daughter-in-law: Arthur and Audrey Duppong, Glen Ullin, along with her 13 grand and 2 great grandchildren. Her siblings: Dorothy Scheer and Anella Waldridge, Paducah, KY; Louis Willett, Chambersburg, PA; Monica Stout, Bothell, WA; Clark Willett, St. Louis, MO; Regina Knott, Great Falls, VA; Mary Ward, Louisville, KY; and Bernadette Gerberding, Clovis, CA. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Paul Willett.
