Rose Frenzel, 90, Dickinson, died Friday, February 13, 2004, at MedCenter One, Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a. m. , Monday, February 16, 2004, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson with the Rev. Jerry Kautzman, celebrating. Interment will be at a later date in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be 12 noon to 9:00 p. m. Sunday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7:30 p. m. led by Jerry Volk. Visitation will continue on Monday at the church one hour prior to the service. Rose was born February 8, 1914 in Stark County to Frank J. and Frances (Semerad) Kostelecky. She attended school in a one room country school and later Sts. Peter and Paul School. On November 26, 1935 she married Paul Frenzel at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson. After their marriage they made their home for one year with his parents. Later moving to farms northwest of Dickinson where they lived until Paul died on November 26, 1971. A year later Rose moved into Dickinson. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening and keeping up with her grandchildren. Rose was a very special lady and deeply loved by all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild. Mother was always available to be part of everyone?s life. Our family has lost not only our mother, but also a very special friend. Rose is survived by: four daughters, Mary Ann (Edwin) Ficek, Dickinson, Patricia (William) Dowell, Dickinson, Irene (Karl Pete) Hammann, Portland, Ore. and Diane (Kenneth) Mayer, Mobridge, SD; one son, Les (Marlene) Frenzel, Dickinson; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and one great great grandson; two brothers, Ed Kostelecky, Tacoma, Wash. and Albert (Harriet) Kostelecky, Mirage, Calif. and one sister-in-law, Shirley Kostelecky, Tacoma, Wash. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Paul; grandson, Daniel; parents, Frank J. and Frances Kostelecky; two brothers, Henry and Otto Kostelecky and one sister, Mary Zentner.
