Rose Kostelecky, 93, Dickinson, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson. The Mass of Resurrection will be 9:30 a. m. Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with the Reverend David Morman celebrating. Interment will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be Friday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home from 10 a. m. to 9 p. m. There will be a rosary and prayer service Friday at 7:30 p. m. led by Deacon Al Hibl. Rose Pavlish was born north of South Heart on September 21, 1909, the only daughter of John and Mary (Urbanec) Pavlish. She spent her childhood in Dickinson and was educated in the public schools. In 1930, Rose married Harry V. Kostelecky and they had six children, one of whom died in infancy. They operated a farm on the outskirts of north Dickinson. Rose was an avid reader with a zest for learning. She enjoyed warm summer days, gardening, traveling, and being with her grandchildren. Rose is survived by her husband, Harry, age 95, with whom she had celebrated 72 years of marriage on November 4, 2002; three daughters, Gladys Zimmerman, Dickinson, Patricia (Bruce) Jessen, Dickinson, Marlene (Robert) Fowler, Camarillo, CA; two sons, Larry (Hyacinth) Kostelecky, Dickinson, Ronald (Carolyn) Kostelecky, Austin, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; one child, Mary Kathryn and her three brothers.
