Rose Ann O?Donnell Myhre, the daughter of Michael & Esther (Hanratty) O?Donnell was born December 2nd, 1919 in Baker, MT. She was the 4th child of 11 born and raised on the family farm. Rose attended the O?Donnell school through the 8th grade and graduated from Baker High School in 1938. After graduating she worked a number of jobs including selling tickets at the Lake Theatre and at the Baker National Bank from 1941-1952. On June 3, 1950 Rose married Everett Myhre . To this union 4 children were born: Odin, Irene, Mary Alice, and Paul. She provided a very loving and caring home for her children. Over the years she boarded many country school students. You could stop by anytime and often be greeted by the aroma of fresh bread baking. There was always room at her table for guests. One of her prize possessions were her grandchildren. She gave them love, patience and understanding; the greatest was her love for them. Grandma we will miss you, but know you will always be guiding us. Rose was always a morning person, enjoyed walking, dancing, cooking, and writing letters. Many family & friends enjoyed receiving her newsy letters. Mom & Dad enjoyed traveling to see their kids and grandchildren in Texas and California by car, plane or train. After Everett passed away in March of 2008, Rose resided at Quality Personal Care and later moved to Fallon County Nursing Home where she peacefully and gracefully passed away on Monday, November 29th, 2010. Rose?s faith in the Catholic Church was the foundation of her life. She lived by way of prayer, the Rosary and the Mass she so loved. Mom & Dad often visited shut-ins and those in need. We will always remember some of Mom?s many quotes: Sweep off your own door step first; If you can?t say anything nice, don?t say anything at all; Share and share alike; Love one another as yourself; Do you want me to get the soap out; We always got along good and had a lot of fun; Don?t be sad, I will be happy in Heaven. Rose is survived by her daughter, Mary Alice Havens, Baker, MT and her two sons, Odin (Susan) Myhre, Huntington Beach, CA and Paul (Sandy) Myhre, Sealy, TX; eight grandchildren, Grant (Lisa) Havens, Holly (Chris) Hutton, Rebecca Rose Havens, Michael (Bekah) Myhre, Luke Myhre, Mark Myhre (Michelle), Anthony Myhre and Joshua (Lisa) Carlson; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marge Koenig, Baker, MT and Betty (Bob) Shuck, Rhame, ND; one brother, Herb O?Donnell, Baker, MT; a sister-in-law, Erna O?Donnell, Baker, MT and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Esther, her husband, Everett, an infant daughter, Irene, her son-in-law, Doug Havens, her sisters, Mary Peterson and Ruth Rustad and her brothers, Bob, Jackie, Howard, Ray and Francis.
