A Liturgy of the Word service for Rose F. Praus, 89, of Dickinson, will be 2:00 p. m. , Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Father Keith Streifel celebrating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a. m. to 2:00 p. m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Rose passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson. Rose F. Praus was born December 28, 1925 to Julius and Mary (Huschka) Praus on the family farm seven miles southwest of Dickinson. She attended country school near her home. Rose was baptized, received First Holy Communion, and was confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Rose enjoyed music and family gatherings. She was a country girl at heart and loved spending time outside exploring everything nature had to offer and working on the farm. She worked in the service industry as a kitchen helper and dishwasher. Rose took pride in her work and all that she did. She enjoyed traveling with her family to visit extended families in Glendive, Billings, Mandan, Bismarck, West Fargo, and Grand Forks and thought it was a delight attending the ND State Fair in Minot. Rose is preceded in death by her parents; sisters and their spouses, Katherine and Frank Binstock, Agnes and Frank Dworshak, Mary and Joe Morel, Clementine and Ulric Ficek, and Margaret in infancy due to the 1918 flu epidemic; brothers and their spouses, Tony and Katherine, Vincent and Victoria, Louis, Jerome T. , and Frank; brother-in-law, Lawrence Dukart; and sister-in-law Donna Berger Praus. Rose is survived by her sister, Anna Dukart of Grand Forks; and sisters-in-law, Eugenia Praus and Evon J. Praus.
