Funeral Mass for Rose Redmond, 78, of Belfield, will be 10:00 a. m. , Friday, December 4, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Father Bill Ruelle celebrating. Burial will take place in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery, Belfield. Visitation for Rose will be from 3:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary & vigil service being held at 5:30 p. m. Rose died peacefully after a 4 year battle with cancer on November 30, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Fargo. Rose was born in Dunn County to George and Barbara (Armbrust) Hendricks on her mother’s family homestead. She was raised there with three sisters and two brothers. She married Francis (Jerry) Redmond on May 14, 1957 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson. They purchased the King Farm/Ranch in Billings County and live there still. They had five children, Glenn, Rebecca, Ruth, Gail and Gene. Rose was a dedicated mother, grandmother and wife. In addition to homemaking she was an avid gardener, wonderful cook, created beautiful quilts and loved to travel. She spent several summers working in Medora and made many close friends. She had a very strong faith and served St. Bernard’s Catholic Church as an Extraordinary minister. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who love her. Rose is survived by her husband, Jerry; her son, Glenn (Kathy) Redmond of Belfield; daughter, Rebecca (Jeff) Sample of Dickinson; her children; Amanda (Mark) Engelstad, Sara (Josiah) Hines, daughter; Ruth (Bryan) Ehrmantraut of Belfield; her children, Erin Kordon; great grandchild, Eli, Katelyn Kordon; daughter, Gail (Tim) Dancer of Fargo; her children, Sam Dancer, Michael Dancer, Madison Dancer; son, Gene (Karla) Redmond of Fargo; his children, Sydney (Dan) Sheridan, McKenna Redmond, Davis Redmond, Laurel Redmond; sisters, Irene (Edwin) Volesky, Marge (Tony) Aman, Shirl Wamre; and brothers, Nick (Luella) Hendricks, Donald Hendricks. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to Hospice of the Red River Valley or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
