Rose passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson.
Rose Genevieve Buresh was born September 13, 1926 in Dickinson, the daughter of Frank and Barbara (Marsh) Buresh. She grew up on the family farm northeast of Belfield, attended country school and went on to graduate from Model High School in Dickinson. It was during this time that she met Henry J. Sadowsky. Rose and Henry were united in marriage on January 16, 1947 in Dickinson. To this union seven children were born. Together, they raised their family on the farm near Manning. The couple moved to Dickinson in 1968 and Rose began her 21 year career as a cook for Berg Elementary School. After her retirement, Rose continued to live in Dickinson.
Rose enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing cards and bingo, as well as visiting the casinos. She was an outstanding cook. Rose’s meatballs and chocolate chip cookies are among many dishes that her family will greatly miss. She could often be found spending time working in her flower garden and felt she could never have too many flowers. Rose’s faith was of the utmost importance to her and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She was grateful for time spent with her family and especially loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rose is survived by her son, Curt (Reg) Sadowsky of Dickinson; daughters, Bonnie (Ron) Gabel of Dickinson, Vernice (Tim) Senner of Bloomfield, MT, Cynthia (Mike) Schneider of North Bend, WA, Nancy (Wade) Willoughby and Tracie (Marty) McGehee, both of Renton, WA; sisters, Emma (Willard) Jaeger of Dickinson, and Clara Volesky of Helena, MT; 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death her parents; husband, Henry; son, Kenneth; brothers, William, Tony, and Frank; and sisters, Victoria Pirkl, and Cecilia Black.
