Rose Wood

Rose Wood, age 78, of Richfield, MN, died January 23, 2009 in Minnesota. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Cetral Time on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery rural Glen Ullin. Rose was born October 13, 1930, on a farm in the St. Joe community, south east of Glen Ullin, the youngest of the 13 children of Joseph and Rosa (Kautzmann) Doll. She was raised on the farm and began her education their. The family moved into Glen Ullin where she attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from high school. In 1954 she married Robert Wood and moved to Minneapolis. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors. She was a member of the Germans from Russia Historical Society, Richfield Garden Club, and active in the Girls Scouts and Boys Scouts. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband Bob; her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Beth Wood; her daughters and sons-in-law: Marvel and Dennis Kretzmann, Joyce (Jeff) Olson, and her grandchildren Jackie and Amy Wood, Brooke, Kari, and Rob Olson. She is also survived by her sister Agatha Madison, of Missoula, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joeseph and Rosa Doll, six brothers and seven sisters.
