Rueben Mjolhus

Funeral Services for Rueben Mjolhus, 82 of Dunn Center will be 10:30 a. m. Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Normanna Lutheran Church, Dunn Center. Burial will follow in the Dunn Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a. m. to 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel, Killdeer. Tuesday visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Rueben passed away Friday, September 29, 2006 at St. Luke?s Home in Dickinson. Rueben was born May 27, 1924, the son of Edward and Greta (Nodland) Mjolhus on the family farm near Dunn Center. He attended the Renville School through the 7th grade and finished the last year in Dunn Center. Rueben was a confirmed member of the Normanna Lutheran Church where he also served as a deacon for four years. He was married to Irene Fandrich on January 7, 1955 at the Normanna Lutheran Church. In 1990, Rueben was diagnosed with cancer and recovered. He suffered a stroke in April of 2006 and made his home at St. Luke?s Home since. Rueben farmed all his life, loved his animals and always helped out where he was needed. Survivors include his wife, Irene Mjolhus, Dunn Center, ND and a son, Roger (Joy) Mjolhus, Dunn Center, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, five sisters and one niece.
