Funeral services for Ruth Heinle, 93, of Dickinson, formerly of Hebron will be held at 1:00 p.m. MT, Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with Pastor David Ling officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. CT, at First Baptist Cemetery in Hebron.
Visitation for Ruth will be an hour prior to the funeral.
Ruth passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 at St. Benedict’s Health in Dickinson.
Ruth E. Miller was born October 9, 1930 at her family farm south of Glen Ullin, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Miller. She grew up and attended school in Grant County.
Ruth married Raymond Heinle on November 13, 1947 in Hebron. The couple was blessed with three children, Judy, Nila and Lynn. They raised their kids on the family farm. Ruth and Raymond retired in 1981 and moved into Hebron. Ruth worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Marian Manor for many years and also worked in Home Care in both the Hebron and Glen Ullin area. Ruth was very good at sewing and mended many pairs of ripped jeans. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Ruth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hebron and the Missionary Guild.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Judy Briske of Dickinson; sisters, Violet Heinle of Detroit Lakes, MN, Freda Anderson of Glen Ullin, Cinderella Lennick of Dickinson, and Gloria (Thomas) Schafer of Bismarck; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 68 years, Raymond (2016); daughter, Nila Heinle (2013); son, Lynn Heinle (2017); brothers, Benny, Karl, Lester, Edwin, Herbert, and Ernest; and sisters, Florence Seigford and Edna Heinle.
