A funeral service for Ruth Sayler, 89 of Richardton, ND formerly of Hebron will be 11:00 a. m. CST on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at St. John UCC in Hebron with Pastor Gaylund Olson officiating. Visitation for Ruth will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Ruth passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at Richardton Health Care. Ruth Esther Sayler was born October 9, 1927 in Los Angeles, California to Walter and Esther (Seitz) Anderson. She grew up and graduated high school in LA. After school Ruth went to work at a sewing factory and an auto parts store building fuel pumps alongside her father. Ruth met Adolph Sayler on a beach while he was serving time in the Navy. Ruth and Adolph were married July 1, 1950. To this union two children were born; Darlene and Karl. In 1957 the family moved to Hebron where she lived until moving into Richardton Health Care. Ruth enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden, going on long walks with her husband, watching her grandchildren and playing cards at night with her daughter. Ruth is survived by her children; Darlene (Terry) Steingrueber of Richardton and Karl Sayler of Hebron; sister, Alice Franklin of Los Angeles; grandchildren, April Steingrueber, Jesse (Nikki) Steingrueber, Jamie (Joel) Opp and Miranda (Wesley) Erdle; and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Jamison, Wyatt, Eli, Immanuel and Ezekiel. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Esther; husband, Adolph; sister, Thelma Davis; brothers, Robert and Wilbert Anderson; and one granddaughter.
