Ryan M. Kuntz was born June 21, 1969 in Dickinson, the son of Anton N. “Tony” and Anita “Gail” (Walters) Kuntz. He grew up on the family farm near South Heart and loved working on the farm. He attended South Heart School and graduated with the class of 1987. Shortly after graduation, he began working in the oilfield working various jobs. Ryan eventually started his own welding company and later a crane operation. He was blessed with a special talent for engineering, fabricating, and fixing anything. No task was too big or too challenging for Ryan. He also spent time custom harvesting and crushing gravel. Ryan married his high school sweetheart, Lisa Steffan on January 21, 1994 in Dickinson. They were blessed with a daughter, MiKayla and a son Mason. The family started their own farmstead north of South Heart in 1996. Ryan took great pride in keeping his farm immaculate, especially his extensive shelter belts and garden. He loved hunting prairie dogs and coyotes, snowmobiling and cooking. Ryan loved hosting Kuntz family gatherings, including the annual 4th of July celebrations at his farm. He was a giving and kind man. His children were the light of his eye and meant everything to him. Ryan will be greatly missed by his family and countless friends.
