Funeral Mass for Celestine ?Sally? Roller, 87 of Bismarck, formerly of Dickinson is 10:00 a. m. Saturday, September 18, 2004 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Dennis Schafer celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph?s Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation will begin Friday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Rosary/Vigil at 8:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson. Visitation will continue on Saturday one hour prior to service time at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church. Sally passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2004 of natural causes at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Home in Bismarck. Sally was born September 4, 1917, at Dickinson, the daughter of Roy and Veronica (Olheiser) Heidt. She lived in the Schefield and Gaylord area until the age of seventeen when she went to work at the Benedictine Hospital in Rochester, MN for several years. Sally returned to North Dakota and married Jerome Roller on November 6, 1941 at Dickinson. They farmed near Gaylord for many years. They moved to Dickinson in 1961 after selling the farm. Sally worked at the St. Benedict?s Nursing home and the Congress Inn as the laundry supervisor. Sally enjoyed sewing, quilting and embroidery. She made many home crafted gifts for family and friends. Sally was proud of her family and enjoyed the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always tried to treat them equally without showing any favoritism. Sally had a strong faith and took life?s ups and downs in stride. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to others in need. Survivors include four sons: Jerome D. Roller, Bismarck, Richard (Rita) Roller, Bismarck, Ronald (Katy Olson) Roller, Underwood, MN and Clarence (Denice) Roller, Bismarck; two daughters, Jeanette (Lee) Froehlich, Anaheim, CA and Virginia ?Ginger? Illich, Dickinson; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome Roller; a sister, Veronica Dukart; three brothers: John Heidt, Ralph Heidt and George Heidt; a daughter-in-law, Marlene (Pavlicek) Roller and her best friend, Leona Pavlicek.
