A funeral service for Sarah Curry, 39, of Dickinson will be 2:00 p. m. , Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with Pastor Donna Dohrmann officiating. Visitation for Sarah will be Monday, February 29, 2016 from 12:00 p. m. – 8:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Prayer Service being held at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 1st from 8:00 a. m. – 2:00 p. m. , at the funeral home. Sarah passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at her home in Dickinson, ND. Sarah Joy Curry was born July 15, 1976 in Seoul, South Korea and was adopted by Lee & Judy Johnson. She spent her childhood on the family farm with her parents and siblings. Sarah attended elementary school and high school at New England Public Schools and graduated from ND Division of Independent Study because she finished in three years. Sarah married Jason Jung in 1992 at Rainy Butte Church near New England, ND. The couple were blessed with one daughter, Jasmine Joy. Sarah and Jason would later divorce. Sarah received her degree in Respiratory Therapy from Rochester Community College and worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, Phoenix, AZ and Annapolis, MD. She received her BS Degree in Medical Arts from the University of St. Francis. Presently, she was pursuing her RN Degree at Dickinson State University. Sarah loved spending time with her daughter, Jasmine, who was the joy of her life. She also enjoyed being with her nieces and nephews. She always had time to take them on a shopping trip, get a bite to eat, send a text message or play a game on the computer. While living with her parents the last two years she kept busy programming and fixing all their technology. Sarah was a very strong woman. Her life was often so hard but she would pull herself together and go on with courage and grace over and over again. Even in the midst of hard times she could put on a smile, say something silly and be her dear, sweet, funny self. She loved music and had a beautiful singing voice. Sarah was very caring and enjoyed helping others. She was truly a bright spot in the lives of everyone who knew her. Sarah is survived by her parents, Lee & Judy Johnson of Dickinson; daughter, Jasmine Joy Jung of Bismarck; sister, Shannon (Brent) Selle of Dickinson; brothers, Brian (Robin) Johnson of Bismarck and Nathan Johnson of Savage, MN; nieces and nephews, Peyton, Kaden, Lauren & Gavin Selle and Avery & Mackenzie Johnson. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Willard & Thelma Johnson and Leonard & Esther Ophaug; aunt, Lois Kunze; uncle, Al Nelson and cousin, Aaron Ophaug.
