Funeral Services for Scott Grossman, 33, of Pearland, Texas, formerly of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2011 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Jim Braaten celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Dickinson.


Visitation for Scott will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson continuing at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with a Rosary and Vigil Service taking place at 7:00 p.m.


Scott passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2011 at the Houston Hospice Center in Houston, Texas.


Scott Francis Grossman was born on October 20, 1977, the son of Ken and Cheryl (Muth) Grossman in Dickinson, ND. He grew up and attended Lincoln, Hagen and Dickinson High School all in Dickinson, graduating in 1996. Scott also attended University of North Dakota in Grand Forks where he received his Bachelor’s degree as well as his Master’s degree in Education. Following graduation, Scott was engaged to his best friend, Nichole Sala. Together they moved to Houston where they started their careers in education. They were united in marriage on July 7, 2006 in Williston, ND. To this union, a son, Aidan Joseph was born. Scott’s life-long goal was to become an administrator of education. He attended the University of Houston in Clear Lake where he received his Principal Certificate in Education. Scott’s career began with Pasadena Independent School District in Texas. The first four years of his career Scott worked at Parkview Intermediate teaching 7th and 8th grade Texas and American History. The last two years of his career Scott worked as Peer Facilitator where he worked with the teachers at Parkview on instructional strategies, resources, and technology. Scott coached the academic team, played on the Parkview Softball Team as well as many other extra curricular activities. He was a member of Sigma-Chi Fraternity and attended St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Pearland, TX. Scott loved being a father, husband and teacher. He enjoyed writing, sports and was very artistically inclined. Scott was very passionate about politics, history and being a good role model to his peers, students and family.


Those having shared his life include, his wife, Nichole and their son, Aidan both of Pearland, TX; his parents, Ken and Cheryl Grossman, Dickinson, ND; three sisters, Emlee Grossman, Dickinson, ND, Jenna (Adam) Owen, Houlton, ME and Wenda (Troy) LeFevre, and their children, Grace, Isabel and Luke, Jamestown, ND; mother & father-in-law, Doug (Mavis) Sala, Williston, ND; Nichole’s grandmother, Mildred Luebke, Williston, ND; brother-in-law, Grant (Paula) Sala and their children, Gavin, Elliot and Whitney, Monticello, MN; two god-children, Ted Muth and Grace LeFevre; and all who loved him.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Emma Muth; Joseph & Anna Grossman, an uncle, Pete Grossman, and an aunt, Mae Grossman.
