Funeral services for Scott ?Scottie? Hamann, 33, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. Friday, May 14, 2010, at Evangelical Bible Church in Dickinson with Pastor Tim Privratsky officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m. Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. Scott went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 8, 2010, at his home in Dickinson due to natural causes. Scott Charles Hamann was born April 17, 1977, to Kenneth Lynn and Vonna Sue (Ely) Hamann in Pocatello, ID. He grew up in American Falls, ID, where he attended school until the family moved to Billings, MT, at the age of 13. In Billings, he attended Skyview High School and graduated in 1995. Scott moved to Dickinson in 1999 to attend Dickinson State University. In 2006 Scott was knocked off his feet by the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, Rebekah Bronson. They were united together with God in marriage on July 25, 2008, at Evangelical Bible Church. They made their home in Dickinson with their dog Copper while Scottie worked as an IT Coordinator for Remco Software. During his time at DSU, Scottie became very involved with Campus Crusade, as well as Evangelical Bible Church. He loved the Lord and was eager to help in ministry wherever he was needed. Scottie was an avid outdoors man, camping and hunting whenever he had the opportunity. He was fond of goose hunting with his dad during Thanksgiving trips home. He also enjoyed playing sports; such as: volleyball, basketball, and softball. He was also an accomplished woodworker and avid Steelers fan. Spending time with his family and friends was one of Scottie?s greatest joys in life. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky; parents, Kenneth and Vonna Hamann of Billings, MT; sisters, Nancy (David) Hamann-Yost and Jennifer Hamann; grandmothers, Sally Hamann and Floy Ely; father and mother-in-law, Alvin (Rebecca) Bronson II; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth (Eric) Simonsen, Debbie (Todd) Foulk, Danny (Mandy) Bronson, and Andy (Shana) Bronson; nieces and nephews, Gavin, Paige, Grace, Anthony, Ashley, Kari, Toby, David, Zeke and Hannah; longtime friend, Mark (Tara) Loyd and their family, Jeremiah, Naomi, Benjamin and Jael; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Louis Hamann and Steve Ely Jr. ; mother-in-law, Ruth Bronson; and brother-in-law, Alvin Bronson III. Family suggests memorials to EBC Missions at 2891 5th Ave. West, Dickinson, ND 58601, to be used for Syd & Andrea Sparks at New Hope Uganda.
