Liturgy of the Word Service for Shane A. Grever, 30, of Dickinson, will be 11:00 a. m. , Monday, February 16, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Msgr Patrick Schumacher celebrating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a. m. to 11:00 a. m. , Monday, February 16, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Shane passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Dickinson, ND due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Shane Allen Grever was born November 18, 1984 in Tacoma, WA, the son of Gordon Grever and Barbara Esparza. Shane moved to Kalispell, MT, where he attended grade school and junior high. The family then moved to Great Falls, MT where Shane attended Great Falls High school. He excelled in cross country and wrestling, winning the State Championship in his weight class. Shane’s athletic success earned a scholarship to Dickinson State University. When Shane arrived in Dickinson he began working at Applebee’s and soon became a fixture of the restaurant for the next 10 years. Over the years Shane also worked at Simonson Station, Dickinson Elks Lodge and Players Sports Bar. He loved any and all sports; NASCAR, Miami Dolphins, Seattle Mariners, Oklahoma City Thunder, Mexico soccer and golfing. Shane had an extraordinary personality and always greeted everyone with a smile and a warm hug. He had a way of cheering people up with his charming personality and enormous heart. Shane is survived by his mother; Barbara Esparza of Great Falls, MT, father; Gordon Eugene, siblings; Freddie, Cary, Misty, Elizabeth, all of Indiana; Tony and Casey of Great Falls, MT, daughter; Aurora, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and countless great friends. In lieu of flowers, Shane’s family suggests making memorials.
