A Funeral Mass for Shannon Tuite, 47 of Fargo, formerly of Dickinson, will be 1:00 p. m. , Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Keith Streifel celebrating. Burial will follow is St. Joseph’s Cemetery.


Visitation for Shannon will be 2:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Rosary and Vigil service being led by Deacon Al Schwindt at 7:00 p. m. Shannon passed away at his home in Fargo on Sunday, September 08, 2013.


Shannon was born September 10, 1965 in Dickinson, the son of Patrick and Irene (Weiler) Tuite. He grew up and attended St. Joseph’s grade school and graduated in 1983 from Dickinson Trinity High School. Shannon later moved to the Fargo/Moorhead area and he has lived there ever since. Over the years, he had worked at a grain elevator and for a parts supply store. Shannon had battled diabetes his entire life. He was a very kindhearted man and he truly enjoyed life. He enjoyed watching car races, wrestling and football, especially his beloved Vikings. Shannon also enjoyed time with his step-grandchildren and his dogs.


Shannon is survived by his parents, Patrick and Irene; his companion, Pam Colton of Fargo; brothers, Pat Jr. of Bismarck, Brian (Laurie) of Finley, ND, and Robert (Sharon) of Arlington, TX; nieces and nephews, Aaron, Ryan, Jordyn; and step-nephew, Kyle Nelson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Tuite; and all of his grandparents.


The family requests all memorials be made to American Diabetes Association.
