A funeral service for Shirley C. Plagge, 85, of Dickinson, will be 11:00 a.m, Friday, September 29, 2017 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Pastor Ellery Dykeman officiating. Burial will follow in Killdeer Cemetery, Killdeer ND.
Visitation for Shirley will be 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28th at the funeral home.
Shirley passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at CHI St. Alexius Health, Dickinson, ND.
Shirley Sather Carlson was born May 31, 1932 in Dunn County, the daughter of Guy and Miriam (Sather) Carlson. Growing up, she attended school in the Killdeer area and graduated from Killdeer High School in 1950. She continued her education at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. On October 18, 1953, Shirley married William H. “Bill” Plagge at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Killdeer. To this union, three daughters, Paige, Robbin and Kari were born. Shirley, Bill and their family lived in Killdeer, Watford City, Poplar MT, Minot and Dickinson where Shirley held various office jobs throughout the years.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Robbin (Roger) Ott of Dickinson and their children, Jason (Angela) Ott and Kaleb, Kyle Ott, Troy (Rose) Ott and Vincent; Kari (Kelsy) Urroz of Taylor and her children, Sean (Jenny) Tessmer and Elizabeth Tessmer; sister, Mavis Brandvik of Killdeer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Miriam; husband, William H. “Bill” (2012); daughter, Paige (1994); brother, Grant (Mildred) Carlson; sisters, Marian (Lawrence) Rudeen and Lorene (Harry) Odren; brother-in-law, Morris Brandvik.
