Stanley Dvorak

A Funeral Mass for Stanley F. Dvorak, 95, Dickinson, ND will be Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:00 a. m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson with Msgr. Patrick Schumacher celebrating. Burial will take place in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery following the service. Visitation for Stanley will be from 5:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a Rosary and Prayer Service being held at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Stanley passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at St. Benedict’s Health Center in Dickinson. Stanley F. Dvorak was born on November 4, 1919, the son of Joseph & Anna (Splichal) Dvorak on the family homestead in Stark County. He attended rural school. In his younger years he helped on the family farm, picked sugar beets in Montana in the 30’s, and met his bride by working on a farm in Dunn County. Stanley F. Dvorak was united in marriage to Emma H. Dvorak on April 13, 1942 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson. Together they farmed, ranched and raised their son, Gene, southeast of Manning, ND. . Later they were proud to pass on the passion of agriculture and Hills Valley Ranch to their son and grandson. In 1972 they moved to Dickinson and shortly retired. He enjoyed coming out to the farm and helping out, especially fencing and harvest. His hobbies were playing button accordion, dancing polkas and waltzes to his son’s old time music, playing cards, woodworking, hunting and trapping. Stanley & Emma had unconditional love for all their nieces and nephews, their grandchildren, great-grandchildren and especially Gene and Shirley. He followed his grandchildren through their sports and 4-H activities. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Eagles Club, and ND Stockmen’s Association. Stanley is survived by his son, Gene (Shirley) of Dickinson; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren: Wendi (Jeff) Anderson and their children, Tienna and Tava; Kodi (Martin) Anchondo and their children, Kalista, Mason and Alex; Weston (Teresa) Dvorak and their children, Audrey, Tessa, Landry and Layna; Kylee (Justin) Hartman and their children, Adalyn and Tyce. One sister, Emma Sanders; one sister-in-law, Lillian Dvorak; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Emma, his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
