A graveside service for Stanley Irvine, 64, of Bozeman, will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 am, at Bonneville Cemetery in Baker, MT.
Stan passed away on Monday, August 7th, 2017 at his home.
Stanley H. Irvine was born March 31st, 1953 in Bozeman to parents Lloyd and Leona (Wiseman) Irvine. He was a lifetime Bozeman resident, graduating from Bozeman Senior High in 1971.
Stan was employed as a plumber most of his career, working on many homes at Big Sky including the Yellowstone Club. Stan was regarded as a quiet and private man. He loved camping with his friends, fishing, hunting, hiking, rockhounding, and moose horn hunting. He also enjoyed old movies and was known to be a pretty fair cook.
Stan had a soft spot in his heart for children and animals. He was an independent man who lived his life on his own terms. His motto was “Do it right”. His family and friends meant everything to him.
Stanley was preceded in death by his father Lloyd; his paternal grandparents Wilbur and Gertrude Irvine; his maternal grandparents Earl and Alice Wiseman; his nephew Scott Hanson and aunt and uncles.
Survivors include his mother Leona Irvine of Billings; his sister and brother-in-law Sheila and Cliff Hanson also of Billings; nieces Amanda (Chris) Loesche of Bothell, WA, Kelli (Americo Lopez-Yglesisas) Hanson of Rochester, NY; grandnephews Kaiden and Chase Loesche of Bothell, WA; uncles Russ (Agnes) Wiseman of Nashua, NH, Bennie Bechtold of Billings, MT; as well as many cousins and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Justin Thomas, Charlotte Weiss and all the caring people at Bozeman Health who cared for him throughout this journey.
A Celebration of Stan’s life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11 am, at the Dahl Funeral & Cremation Tribute Center.
