Funeral Services for T. J. Owens 20, of Baker are 11 a. m. , Friday, July 13, 2007 at the American Lutheran Church in Baker with Pastors Bruce and Reba Kolasch officiating. Burial will be in the Bonnievale Cemetery in Baker. Visitation will be 9 a. m. , to 9 p. m. , Thursday, July 12, 2007, at the Stevenson Funeral Home with a Prayer Service being held at 7 p. m. Visitation will continue on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church. Thomas Jordan Owens, or T. J. as all of his friends called him, was born on March 30, 1987 in Miles City, the son of Thomas L. and Pamela (Setinc) Owens. He grew up in Baker, attended grade school and graduated from Baker High School in 2005. While in grade school and later high school, T. J. loved to wrestle and became a great competitor in the sport. During the summers and after school he began working for G & R Custom Metal of Baker, fabricating metal buildings. Along with his work, he would also help out on the ranch south of Baker with his father and became the favorite bartender at the family business. In September of 2006 T. J. enrolled at MSU-B School of Technology to learn more about the welding trade and fabrication. He returned to Baker where he continued his employment with G & R Custom Metal. T. J. had a very caring and gentle manner as he worked for Progressive Care to help with the care of his brother, Britt. T. J. enjoyed collecting vehicles, fishing, hunting, hanging out with his friends and girls. T. J. would also help any friend or family fix/install something in their car or whatever was asked of him. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church and Boy Scouts. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and special smile. T. J. passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2007 due to injuries from an automobile accident near Marmarth, ND. Survivors include, his parents, Tom and Pam Owens, Baker; two brothers, Kelly (Jodi) Krieger, Burnsville, MN and Britt Owens, Baker; two sisters, Angela Krieger, Phoenix, AZ and Breeann Owens, Baker, his grandparents, Gwen Setinc, June Gillison, both of Baker and Colleen (Wally) Owens, White Sulphur Springs, MT; ?a great-grandmother, Vivian Celander, Baker; his nephews and nieces, Marcus and Jada Krieger and Kady Krieger and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Gillison, Martin Setinc, and Laverne Owens; and step-great-grandfather, Edward Celander. Through this difficult time, Tom and Pam are comforted in knowing that five persons lives will now be extended through the gift of T. J. ?s organ donation.
