Funeral Services for Taren Strub of Ekalaka will be Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 2:00 p. m. in the Carter County High School Gymnasium in Ekalaka, Montana. Burial will be in the Beaver Lodge Cemetery in Ekalaka. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 30, 2004 from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. in the Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker with a Prayer Service being held at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to service at the Carter County High School Gymnasium. Taren LaRee Strub, 16 passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at the Dahl Memorial Hospital after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. She rode through that course like she did everything, with determination, dignity and tons of courage. Taren was born to Bob and Cheryl (Till) Strub on July 24, 1988 in Baker, Montana. She was the seventh child born to the Strub family. Taren was a sophomore at Carter County High School and will be missed by her many friends as well as the staff. She was involved in rodeo, basketball and was a huge Viking?s fan. Taren loved to spend time with all of her friends. She also loved her cat, Raztus, her dog, Lady and her old black mare, Chick. Survivors include, her parents, Robert and Cheryl, Ekalaka; a sister and her family, Desarae ?Desi? (Bill) Rost, Baker and their children, Ashley and Daniel; five brothers and their families, TJ, Ekalaka, Tom (Kathy) Strub, Miles City their children, Justin (Kim) and their child, Molly, Gillette, WY, Tate (Cass) Strub and their children, Kyleigh and Trace, Miles City and Casey (Kelly) Strub, Miles City, John (Jodi) Strub and their child, Lacy, Billings, Gary (Karen) Strub, Winnebago, MN and Gary?s children, Brook (Brock) Collins and their children, Trenton and Camryn, Baker, Jeffrey and Krystal Strub, Oklahoma City, OK and Rob (Cindy) Strub and their son, Daniel, Billings. Also surviving are her paternal grandfather, Robert Shelhammer, Billings; maternal grandparents, Joe and Alva Till, Ekalaka and several aunts, uncles and cousins, Taren?s very special friend Logan Wolff.
