Tehya passed away December 11, 2023.

On January 18th 2010, Chris and Katie were blessed with their beautiful baby girl Tehya Alta Brawley. Tehya became the little sister to Damien, Jesse and Christopher. Ten years later, Tehya was so excited to take on the loving role of a big sister to her little brother Laiken. Although we all know she would have preferred a baby sister that she could dress up like her doll, she was equally excited to welcome her baby brother Blake a couple years later. Born in Hamilton and then moving with her family to Baker when she was just three years old, Tehya attended Baker schools where she bonded with many students and staff. A bright smile and a tender heart that is willing to give are only a few of Tehya’s many rare qualities. To know Tehya was to love Tehya, and those that were lucky enough to be in her life or have a brief moment with her are fortunate. Tehya had many favorites in her life, thanks to her bravery and willingness to always try something new. In the end, she found she was happiest just finding her faith in the lord. Tehya loved her church family so much, she was always very adamant on attending services on wednesday nights and looked forward to camp every year. When Tehya wasn't spending time with her friends at church or at one of her favorite stores downtown, she was proudly supporting her big brothers in their activities or being the best big sister and helping her mom. She could often be found at the Classy Cactus being around the beauty of flowers and learning the craft or hanging out at the local coffee shop catching up with her friends.

Tehya wasn’t just her daddys princess. She was an incredibly hard worker. She had a job working every other weekend at a local restaurant where she earned her own money to do and buy the things she loved. Tehya took on a passion for interior design and was always looking for a way to improve the look of her bedroom or other parts of the house. She always enjoyed visiting with her aunt that is in design school, just knowing that she wanted to follow in her footsteps excited her. She had truly found her passion and her aunt was going to be just the one to help.

Tehya was an amazing Sister, Daughter, Friend and all around young woman, who will be greatly missed by her parents Chris and Katie Brawley, her brothers Damien, Jesse, Christopher, Laiken and Blake. Her grandmother Catherine Durmon, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and even more Friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Steve and Alta Brawley, Danny Durmon, her great grandparents, John and Donna Haley, Glyn Brawley along with many other beloved family members.
