Theodore Fischer, age 78 of Hebron, ND, known to everyone at ?Ted?, died Sunday, January 21, 2007 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Dickinson, ND. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 10:00 AM Central Time at the First Baptist Church in Hebron. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:30 until 8:00 pm at Spangelo Funeral Home in Hebron with a prayer service at 7:00. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, in rural Mandan, ND 1:00 PM Thursday. Ted was born September 7, 1928 in Dickinson, ND the son of Gottleib and Dora (Brinkman) Fischer. He was raised and educated in the Hebron area. He entered the US Navy December 12, 1945 and was discharged November 8, 1947. He married Anna Faye Scalf who was the mother of their children: Fran, Dori, Bev, Barb, Jerry and George. For most of his working life Ted worked in road construction and mechanic work. In 1964 Ted married Genevieve Dinius. He was a member of the American Legion Post #100 and the Eagles. He is survived by his children: Fran (Gil) Feigitsch, Bev Herner, and Barb Schantz all of Bismarck; Dori (Ron) Mayer, Grand Forks, ND; and George, Hebron. Ted has 12 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He also leaves his brothers and sisters: Alma Elder, Hebron; Dorothy Creel, Esther Swoboda, and Wilmar Fischer, all of Spokane, WA; Roland Fischer, Mandan, ND and Norma Unruh, Dickinson. He was preceded in death by his parents,his wife Faye, his wife Genevieve in 1984, and his son Jerry. Officiating: Rev. Herbert SchauerCasket Bearers: Mark Elder, Joe Schlosser, Cole Schantz, Kori Schantz, Bryan Diede, Shawn Mayer, and Lew Bernhardt. Honorary Pallbearers: All of Ted? Grandchildren.
