Theodore (Ted) Glasser, 82, Bismarck, ND, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on January 17, 2011, at The Baptist Home in Bismarck after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Ted was born August 29, 1928, in rural Glen Ullin, ND, the son of Alfonse and Rose (Emter) Glasser. He was raised and educated in the rural St. Joseph area south of Glen Ullin. Ted married Germaine Hertz on September 23, 1952, and they lived on the farm where he grew up. Ted was a farmer/rancher all his life and his passion was raising registered Hereford cattle. He often attended livestock auction sales well after his retirement and many asked his advice because of his knowledge and love of the breed. He enjoyed bowling, and watching rodeos, boxing, and baseball. He also loved old-time music and dancing polka with Germaine. Ted was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Glen Ullin Saddle Club, Morton County Sheriff’s Posse, St. Joseph Church Men’s Society, and the American and North Dakota Hereford Associations.
