Funeral Mass for Theresa Renner, 74, of Glen Ullin, ND will be 10:00 a.m. CDT, Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arul Joseph celebrating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Glen Ullin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CDT, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will continue on Saturday one hour prior to the Funeral Mass.
Theresa passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.
Theresa Schumacher was born on September 17, 1937, the daughter of Joe P. and Frances (Weiand) Schumacher in Blue Grass, ND. As a young girl, she attended country school in Oliver County. Theresa helped her parents on the farm with many family chores. She was married to James D. Renner on November 14, 1955 in St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. To this union five children were born; Rita, Brenda, Randy, Faye and Rick. Together they worked for several years south of Glen Ullin, until 1959 when they moved into town and purchased the Cream Station. They operated it while raising their children in Glen Ullin. Theresa was well known for her banana bread and she enjoyed sharing it with friends and family. She also enjoyed embroidering and made many embroidered dish towels to be given away as well. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. She volunteered many hours and always enjoyed her time spent there.
Survivors include, her husband, James, Glen Ullin, ND; two daughters, Rita (Duane) Opp, Hebron, ND, and Brenda Renner, Bismarck, ND; two sons, Randy (Jerilyn) Renner, Bismarck, ND, and Rick Renner, Glen Ullin, ND; three grandchildren, Kay (Anton) Kruger, Hebron, ND, Kylie & Maggie Renner both of Bismarck, ND, and two great-grandchildren, John & Noah Kruger, Hebron, ND; two brothers, Clarence (Delphine) Schumacher and Wilfred Schumacher both of Beulah, ND; and sister Elaine (Joe) Keller, Beulah, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Faye.
