A Funeral Mass for Tillie Hoerner, 95, of Glen Ullin, will be 10:30 a. m. CDT, Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Glen Ullin with Father Sebastian celebrating. Burial will follow in Scared Heart Cemetery. Visitation for Tillie will be 4:00 p. m. to 6:00 p. m. , Monday, February 17th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Rosary and Vigil service being held at 4:00 p. m. Tillie passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Marian Manor HealthCare Center in Glen Ullin. Tillie was born on November 23, 1918 in Glen Ullin the daughter of Mathias and Johanna (Olheiser) Erhart. She grew up and attended country school while living on the family farm south of Glen Ullin. Tillie was married to John H. Hoerner on November 26, 1940 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Together they made their home and raised their children on the Hoerner family farm. To this union three children were born, Gerald, Charleen and Janet. John and Tillie retired to Glen Ullin in 1969 at which time Tillie, began working as a CNA at the Marion Manor for the next 16 years. Tillie became a resident of Marian Manor in February 2003. Tillie enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, growing flowers and crocheting. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s and the Sacred Heart Christian Mothers. Tillie especially enjoyed getting together with her birthday group for coffee and cards. Survivors include her son, Gerald (Sandra) Hoerner, Carson, ND; two daughters, Charleen (Chet) Haux, Bismarck, ND and Janet Miller, Mandan, ND; two sisters, Anna Schantz, Glen Ullin, ND; and Angeline Jablonsky, Dickinson, ND; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren as well as 3 step-great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Matt Schaff, Glen Ullin; two sister-in-laws, Monica Erhart, Hazelton, ND and Elizabeth Steckler, Bismarck, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; son-in-law, Henry Miller; three brothers, John, Tony and Christ; two sisters, Josephine Frank and Pauline Schaff. A special Thank You to Marian Manor staff for all the wonderful care provided for our mother.
