A Liturgy of the Word service for Tim Braun, 63, of Richardton, will be 9:00 a. m. , Monday, June 22, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Deacon Kris Ringwall officiating. Burial will take place in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND. Military Honors for Tim will be presented by the Dickinson Honor Guard. Visitation for Tim will be 3:00 p. m. – 6:00 p. m. , Sunday, June 21st at the funeral home with a rosary and vigil service being held at 4:00 p. m. Tim passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at his home in Richardton. Tim was born May 12, 1952 in Dickinson, the son of Louie and Martha (Pribyl) Braun. He grew up on the family farm 18 miles southwest of Dickinson in the Schefield area. He attended St. Pius grade school before attending South Heart School, where he graduated with the class of 1970. Tim enlisted into the US Marine Corp and served in Vietnam. In 1975, after his honorable discharge, he returned to the farm to work. While farming, he also drove semi-truck for several years. In the early 90’s, he moved to Arizona where he attended Aircraft and Power Plant School. After graduating from Airplane Mechanic School, he worked in Rapid City for West Jet before moving to Salt Lake City and working for Sky West Airlines. Upon semi-retiring, he moved to Richardton and began working for Southwest Grain. Due to ill health, he has remained in Richardton, calling it home. Tim enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, riding Harley bikes, cooking and visiting with his family and friends. He was a gun and knife collector. Tim also enjoyed spending time gardening and taking care of his yard. Tim is survived by his brothers, Pete Braun of Dickinson and Dean Braun of Chandler, AZ; sisters, Brenda (Mike) Obritsch of Rapid City, SD, LuAnn (Steve) Roberts of McMinnville, OR, Marla Braun of Dickinson; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He passed away one day before his mother, Martha. He is preceded in death by his father, Louie; and sisters, Kimberly Braun and Nancy Charles. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to “Wounded Warrior Project” – c/o Brenda Obritsch, 5400 Sweet Clover Circle, Rapid City, SD 57702.
