Funeral Services for Anton ?Tony? Ben Gawryluk, 61 of Baker, MT will be 10:00a. m. Monday, September 25, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Baker, MT with Pastor Levi Durfey officiating with special music by Brenda Schweigert and Tami Durfey. Organist will be Martha Deaner. Burial will follow in the family lot in Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker with David Urban, Tim Schwindt, Ben Gawryluk, Jim Gawryluk, Darrell Stockert and J. R. Stockert as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 12. 00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Sunday, September 24, 2006 in the Chapel of the Stevenson Funeral in Baker, with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p. m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Stevenson Funeral of Baker, MT. Tony passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Holy Rosary Healthcare in Miles City, MT. Anton Ben Gawryluk was born May 4, 1945 to Peter and Elizabeth (Dutchuk) Gawryluk in Dickinson, ND. Tony grew up and attended schools in Fryburg and Belfield, ND. In the middle of his senior year, Tony enlisted in the US Army, serving his country from 1962 to 1965 when he was Honorably Discharged. He returned to Belfield to work in the oilfield. Tony left Belfield moving to Oregon and worked in landscaping. He eventually returned to Belfield working again in the oilfield. In 1969, Tony moved to Baker where he worked for the L. Price Company. It was in Baker he met Marilyn Ann Lang. The two were married at First Baptist Church on August 20, 1971. Tony eventually returned to the oilfield where he worked until he was injured in an accident and became permanently disabled. In 1984, he furthered his education by attending Dawson Community College in Glendive, MT for the next two years. Baker has been home for Tony ever since. Tony enjoyed sports and hunting. His real joy in life was his family, often referring to his grandchildren as his pride and joy! Tony also had a real love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom he asked into his heart on April 9, 1970. He served as a trustee at First Baptist as well as teaching Sunday school. He was a member of the Jaycees, American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. Tony is survived by his wife, Marilyn Gawryluk, Baker, MT; a son, Ernest (Victoria) Gawryluk, Missoula, MT; two daughters, Michelle (Larry) Herman, Billings, MT and Dawn Gawryluk (and special friend, Pete Stewart), Dalhart, TX; four brothers, Jim Gawryluk, Steve Gawryluk, both of Belfield, ND and Ben Gawryluk and Paul Gawryluk, both of Dickinson, ND; three sisters, Vernette Holt, Williston, ND, Ann (Leonard) Stockert, Belle Fourche, SD and Doris (Jim) Keller, Gillette, WY and his two grandchildren, Larry and Cheye Herman, Billings, MT. His parents, Peter and Elizabeth and his little sister, Eva Gawryluk, precede him in death.
