Funeral services for Truth Moger, 87, of Dickinson will be 11:00 a. m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dickinson with Pastor Steven Tangen officiating. Burial will follow at the Kyseth Memorial Cemetery in Marshall, ND. Visitation will be from 10:00 a. m. to 11:00 a. m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Truth passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at St. Joseph?s Hospital in Dickinson. Truth Moger was born August 30, 1922 to Frank Gordon and Elizabeth (Wang) Schaffner on the family ranch east of Marshall, ND. She grew up on the ranch and attended rural school Marshall #3 and later graduated from Dodge High School in 1939. After high school she went on to attend Concordia College and finished at Dickinson State University. After schooling she taught at schools around North Dakota before working for the Dickinson Press and Advertiser and F. W. Woolworth Company as the Advertising Coordinator for many years. On April 9, 1944 Truth married Norman Moger at the Congregational Church in Dickinson, ND. The couple made their home in Berthold. Truth later moved to Dickinson where she has made her home since. Truth enjoyed singing, music, gardening and cooking. She also had a flare for decorating and especially had a love for her pets. She had a talent for writing and wrote a popular weekly column in the Advertiser newspaper. She was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church and Women?s Group and also a member of the BPW (Business & Professional Women). Truth had a good and generous heart, trying always to help others where needed. She gave of her time, talents and assets, going out of her way to make contacts for special needs. Truth will be dearly missed by her daughter Randi (Bruce) Gustafson, Circle Pines, MN, sister, Chery Porten, Miles City, MT, grandchildren, Tom Gustafson M. D. and his wife Holly Gustafson M. D. , Minneapolis, MN and Tara Truth (Eric) Peltier, Boulder, CO, great-grandchildren, Medora and Lian Peltier, daughter in law, Colette Moger, Littleton, CO, nephew, Barton Booth, Pass Christian, MS and a treasured friend, Faye Wolf. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael, sister, Hope Lund and her parents. Memorials are preferred Oreo?s Animal Rescue in Dickinson, ND.
