Funeral services for Verletta Bader, 85, of Dickinson formerly of New Leipzig, are 11 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, New Leipzig, ND, with Pastor John Amundson officiating. Interment will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New Leipzig. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday one hour prior to the service. Verletta passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the St. Joseph Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson, ND Verletta Roberts was born on April 16, 1922, in Mott, ND to Lacy and Grace (Banning) Roberts. She spent all of her growing years in Mott, graduating from high school in the 1940?s. She married Elmond Grosz in June of 1940. Together they had two children, Carlene Schiff and Richie (Sharon) Grosz. In November of 1960, after working for a short time at the ASC office in Mott, she married Robert Bader. Together they had two sons, Jeff and John. Robert and Verletta lived all of their married life in New Leipzig until failing health conditions caused her to reside a Country House in Dickinson. Verletta found the most joy in her life from her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and hundreds of books graced her home. Verletta never criticized anyone or had a bad word to say about anyone, she was well liked by all that knew her. Verletta is survived by: her husband, Robert, Mott; three sons, Richie (Sharon) Grosz, Blaine, Minnesota, Jeff (Donna) Bader, Kent, Wash. and John (Toshie) Bader, Cedar Rapids, IA; one daughter, Carlene Schiff, Dickinson; eleven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; one sister, Margie Bradstreet, Sacramento, Calif.; brothers, Richard (Annette) Roberts, Fargo and Don (Helen) Roberts, Winston, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother.
