Verna Bruski, 88, Dickinson, died Friday, August 27, 2004, at St. Luke?s Home, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a. m. Tuesday, August 31, 2004, at St. Phillips Catholic Church, St. Phillip?s, Montana, with Fr. David Morman celebrating and Fr. Jim Braaten concelebrating. Interment will be in St. Phillip?s Cemetery, St. Phillip?s, Montana. Visitation will be Monday from 2 p. m. to 3 p. m. at St. Luke?s Home with a rosary and vigil service at 3 p. m. at St. Luke?s Home, led by Deacon Ray Jilek. Visitation will continue on Monday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home from 4 p. m. to 9 p. m. with a rosary and vigil service at 7 p. m. led by Fr. Basil Atwell, OSB. Visitation will continue Tuesday at the church in St. Phillip?s one hour prior to the service. Veronica Frances Watembach was born October 11, 1915, in Wibaux County, Montana to Leon and Josephine (Pellowski) Watembach. She lived on the family farm near St. Phillip?s, Montana. Verna attended rural school to the 8th grade. She helped around the home and the homes of her family. On October 8, 1940, she married Magnus Francis Bruski at St. Phillip?s Catholic Church, St. Phillip?s, Montana. They farmed in Wibaux County until August of 1957, when they moved to Beach, ND. She was a housewife until she moved to St. Luke?s Home in October of 1986. Magnus died on September 15, 1986. Verna Bruski is survived by: two daughters, Marilyn (Eugene) Morman, Dickinson, and Laverne (Kirk) Krein, Hebron, ND; two sisters-in-law, Florence Watembach, and Cecelia Watembach, both of Wibaux, Montana; brother-in-law, John Dobrowski, Mesa, Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: parents; her husband, Magnus; son, Adrian; daughter, Sharon; four brothers, John, Frank, Harry and Joe Watembach; six sisters, Gertrude Ponke, Helen Begger, Frances Dobrowski, Victoria Zabrocki, Catherine Bruski and Josephine Zinda. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to: St. Luke?s Home, Dickinson or St. Phillip?s Catholic Church.
