Vernon Schiff

Vernon J. Schiff, 63, of Gladstone passed away September 29, 2003 at Medcenter One, Bismarck. Vernon was born on his grandfathers? farm south of Richardton on November 30, 1939 to Joseph and Emma (Kelsch) Schiff. He was raised in the Richardton area attending school there and graduated from Mott High School in 1957. Vernon then went on to Dickinson Teachers College for a year. On July 18, 1964 he married Carlene Grosz in Mott, ND. He began working as a salesman in western North Dakota and later several different ranches. His love for the Appaloosa Horse breed started as a young man and continued through out his life. Vernon refered to his grandchildren as his bummers, which were his pride and joy. His favorite times were shared with his family all together at the farm being ?PA?. Vernon will be greatly missed by his wife, Carlene of Gladstone, two daughters, Stacey (Brian) O?Hara of Dickinson, Lisa (Neal) Dukart of Elgin; a son, Ryan/Punk (Amy) Schiff, Gladstone; two brothers, Ken and Gary Schiff both of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren, Megan, Morgan and Micah Dukart, Keaton, Kendall and Kooper O?Hara; one sister, Boni (Richard) Solberg of Dickinson, ND. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ron Schiff.
