Funeral Mass for Veronica Bosch, 94, of Killdeer, ND will be 10 a. m. , Monday, September 7, 2009 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Jim Braaten celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph?s Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p. m. – 7 p. m. , Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, ND with a Rosary and Vigil service at 5 p. m. Veronica passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at The Hill Top Home of Comfort, Killdeer, ND. Veronica Hitchrick Bosch was born October 24, 1914, the daughter of Stefan and Mathilda (Roshau) Brittner in Fayette, ND. Stefan died when Veronica was one year, 10 days old. Mathilda remarried to Adam Hitchrick and Veronica was adopted by Adam. Veronica was raised and educated in the Fayette area. On June 27, 1938, Veronica married Joseph Ralph Bosch at St. Anthony?s Church in Fayette, ND. They lived in the Manning and Killdeer area, until moving to Dickinson in 1949. Joe and Veronica had six children, Joan, Mary, Shirley, Valentine, Edward and Susan. In the early 1940?s, while living in Killdeer, Veronica helped Doc Smith as a mid-wife where many babies were delivered at the ?maternity house. ? Veronica was a housewife until the children were grown. She then worked at various places in town. Veronica enjoyed crocheting, sewing quilts and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was active in the RSVP program. She loved to play cards and always had a deck or two handy in her purse. She loved to travel and would hop the Greyhound at times to go visit her children living in Washington or California. In February 2005, Veronica realized she needed more help and care and it was her decision to move to Evergreen. In June 2009, needing more care, Veronica moved to the Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer. Veronica is survived by two sons: Valentine (Becky) Bosch, Ellensburg, WA, and Edward (Cynthia) Bosch, Castro Valley, CA; three daughters: Joan Spradley, Sacramento, CA, Mary (Louie) Stradiotto, Roseville, CA and Susan (Dwight) Hauck, Auburn, WA; nine grandchildren: Sandi (Steve) Harrington and their daughter, Kelly, Suzanne (Dan) Groves and their children, Cianna and Markus, Gary Stradiotto, Robert Bosch and his son, Derrick, Patricia (Aaron) Dinardi and their children, Wyatt and Abigail, Kari (Bruce) Morast and their baby due in November, Laura Hauck, Rebecca (Levi) Schoenfeld, Jennifer (Charlie) Garcia and their children, Kevin and Kiera. . Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, Stefan Brittner, Mathilda Hitchrick, Adam Hitchrick, husband, Joseph Ralph Bosch, daughter, Shirley, daughter-in-law, Paulette Bosch, son-in-law, Richard Spradley. Brothers, Jack, Mike, Harry, Tony, John, Frank, sisters, Eleanor (3 days old), Pauline Hauck and Caroline Herold. Memorials are preferred to ABLE Inc. 653 19th St. West Dickinson, ND 58601
