A funeral Mass for Veronica “Clemy” Schwindt, 82, of Dickinson, will be 10:30 a. m. , Friday, November 4, 2016 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson with Msgr. Schumacher celebrating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation for Clemy will be from 1:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Thursday, November 3rd at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Rosary & Vigil service being held at 7:00 p. m. Clemy Schwindt passed away peacefully October 30, 2016 at CHI St Alexius in Bismarck surrounded by her family. Veronica Clementine Frank was born September 3, 1934 to Sebastian and Barbara (Wock) Frank in Dickinson. She attended New Hradec District Country School. Veronica married Jerome Schwindt September 27, 1954 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson. They made their home on the Schwindt family farm near Manning, and later moved to Dickinson where they raised their 6 children. She worked many jobs during those years including owning and operating Clemy’s Café and her own interior painting business. Clemy was a member of The Eagle’s Auxiliary, St Pius, St Joseph’s Catholic Daughters, and St Wenceslaus Church. Clemy loved to “play in the dirt!” She always had dirt under her nails and flowers blooming in the yard. She was a dedicated and loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She loved to play cards, listen to old time music, and spend time with family. Her kitchen was frequently filled with goodies and Grandkids, especially when she made their favorite meals. Clemy is survived by her husband, Jerome; children; Pam (Ray) Kilwein, Rita (Steve) Ries, Gregory, Maynard (Shari), Sharon (Terry) McCloud, and Scott (Robbin). She was also blessed with 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Carol Frank, Agnes Frank, Judy (Eddie) Heinen, Hilda (Lawrence) Huschka, and Lydia (Elmer) Frank Krebs and brothers-in-law, Lou (Joan) Schwindt and Valentine Stockert. She will also be lovingly remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews. Clemy was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Rose Wock; brothers, Ralph, Gabe, and Ted Frank; sister, Evangeline Stockert; sister-in-law, Monica (Christ) Frank; brother-in-law, John (Bev) Schwindt.
