Victor Zander was born December 21, 1908, in Dickinson to William K. and Emma (Birkholz) Zander. He went to school at Lehigh and grew up on his parents farm known as Zander Dairy. He married Helen Langendorff on June 9, 1937, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dickinson. They lived on a farm east of Dickinson until 1945. Victor worked at Queen City Dairy for eight years, Mann?s Automotive and then St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. After retirement, he worked part time at Schmidt Dairy Queen. He was a life long member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a member of the church longer than any other baptized member. He was a member of the German-Hungarian, and a Life Member of the Eagles and Elks. He enjoyed taking pictures, playing cards, dancing and maintaining a very well groomed yard. He is survived by one daughter, Judy Ann (Henry) Picard, Fall River, MA; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Alice Miller, Beach and Doris (Frank) Kubik, Dickinson; two sisters-in-law, Dorathy (Richard) Schmidt, Dickinson and Dorothy Langendorff, Fremont, Calif. ; one brother-in-law, Duane Langendorff, Great Falls, Mont. ; and many devoted nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his wife, parents, and one brother.
