Mass of Christian Burial for Victoria Herold, 89, of Dickinson, ND. is at 10:00 a. m. on Thursday, June 10, 2004, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with the Rev. James Braaten, celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Wenceslaus CemeteryVisitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel continuing on Wednesday from 8:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. A Vigil service followed by a Rosary will be at 7:00 p. m. on Wednesday. Victoria passed away Friday, June 4, 2004 at St. Luke?s Home in Dickinson, ND. Victoria was born January 19, 1915 to Joseph and Elizabeth (Schmaltz) Hartman on the family homestead near Fayette, ND. She grew up and attended country schools in the Fayette area. While she was young, she worked in the housekeeping department at St. Joseph?s Hospital as well as the Lariat and Cozy Lunch Cafes. Victoria married George Herold on January 4, 1962. They made Dickinson their home. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, fabric painting and all other kinds of arts and crafts. Victoria especially enjoyed time spent in her flower garden. Dancing, socializing and being with her family and friends were all things Victoria loved to do. Victoria is survived by one daughter, Georgianna Campbell of Dickinson, ND, three brothers, Joe (Irene) Hartman of Billings, MT, George (June) Hartman of Mesa, AZ, and Mike (Virginia) Hartman of Seattle, WA, two sisters, Beatrice (Brad) Branstetter of Port Huenene, CA and Eleanor Mischel of Upper Sandusky, OH, sisters-in-law, Maggie (Martin) Kuhn, Regina Reindel, Rose Marie Carlson, Evelyn Herold, Angeline Nuss and Katherine Wanner, brothers-in-law, John (Pauline) Herold and Joe (Phyllis) Herold, three grandchildren, Stella Fisher and her fianc?e Dan Kienzle of Mott, ND, Rose (Michael) Rosario of Woodbury, MN and Marilyn (Mike) Blanchard of Prior Lake, MN and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, Frank Hartman, three sisters, Monica Roller, Betty Frenzel and Perpetua Hartman, a son-in-law, Kenneth Campbell, a great-granddaughter, Nina Rosario, a grandson-in-law Bill Fisher and a special friend, Gabe Boespflug.
