Funeral Mass for Vince Ott, 80, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. , Friday, August 26, 2011 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Dickinson, with Father Todd Kreitinger celebrating. Burial will be at St. Patrick?s Cemetery. Visitation for Vince will be from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson, with a Rosary and Vigil service taking place at 7:00 p. m. Vince passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at his home with Betty at his side. Vince Ott was born July 21, 1931 in Belfield, ND, the son of John and Clara (Bosch) Ott. He was raised in Belfield and attended country school until the 8th grade. On May 18, 1954, Vince married Betty Lampl at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Dickinson. Vince was a dairy equipment dealer and Culligan dealer until he retired at the age of 64. During this period of time, he was very active with the Knights of Columbus Club. He was one of the founder?s of the Dickinson Charities and worked alongside Father Steve at the St. Anthony?s Mission. Vince enjoyed spending time with his friends and family at his cabin on Lake Sakakawea. While at the cabin, Vince enjoyed fishing, boating and working at the Mission. Vince enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in various sporting events and concerts and this was a highlight of his life. Vince?s children and grandchildren brought such great joy to his life. Vince is survived by his wife, Betty; his children, Roger (Robbin) of Dickinson, Duane of Dickinson and Denise (Perry) of Helena, MT; eight grandchildren, Jason (Angela) Ott of Dickinson, Kyle Ott of Dickinson, Troy (Rose) Ott of Fargo, Marie (Jake) Rettig of Helena, MT; Sara Mitchell of Bismarck, Danielle (Andy) Salo, Derek Ott and Brooke Ott all of Dickinson; four great-grandchildren; sisters Maggie, Anne, Bertha, Jenny, Susan, Marge and Betty and one brother Joe (Elsie) of Dickinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Ott; two infant sisters; one sister, Eva; and four brothers, John, Jack, Casper and Tony.
