Vince was born on March 13, 1930 in Dickinson, ND to Vincent Jr. and Rose (Simek) Kadrmas. Vincent attended and graduated in 1949 from Versippi Consolidated School, NE of Dickinson. On September 11, 1951, Vince married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Agnes Badinger. Following his marriage to Agnes, Vince was drafted into the US Army where he served as a Morse Code Radio Operator for the Army Security Agency intercepting messages from Russia during the Korean War. Vince served from 1951 to 1953 and was discharged from the service with an Honorable Discharge. Upon his return, Vince was a farm machinery salesman until he opened his own business and eventually retired as the owner of Modern Implement, Co. Vince’s love for his family was matched only by his love for music. Since the age of 14, Vince has been a master of the saxophone and has been an integral member of various dance bands. He performed at many weddings (including his grandchildren’s weddings), funerals, anniversaries, and was part of the music liturgy at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Vince was also a very active charter member in the Elks Sodbuster Band as past Vice-President, President, and Director of the Sodbuster Combo. In addition, Vince had a knack for repairing horns which he did for Jacobson Music and later as a hobby. Over the years, Vince has created countless moments of joy and happiness and has touched many lives with his music. Vince’s other accomplishments include serving as the Mardi Gras Chairman for Trinity High School in 1973, serving on the Board of Directors of the Czech Heritage, and being a member of the ND Implement Dealers Association, American Legion, Elks Club, and Elks Old-Timers. Vince and Agnes spent many years together making valuable, lasting friendships and raising four amazing children. Vince is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Agnes; children, Daryl (Heidi) Kadrmas of Superior, WI, Terry (Joan) Kadrmas of Lakeville, MN, Nancy (Gerard “Jerry”) Woehl of Dickinson, and daughter-in-law, Susan Kadrmas of Superior, WI; grandchildren, Jason (Amy) Kadrmas, Kristi (Mark) Spitzmueller, Justin (Amanda) Woehl, Karinna (John) Duffey, Cody Woehl (special friend Kaitlyn Anderson), Christopher Overland, and Kimberly (Erick) Malaske; great-grandchildren, Kate Kadrmas, Ryan T. Vince is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Jr. and Rose; son, Kevin; sister, Lorraine Karsky; and brother-in-law, Henry Ghents.
