Viola Heick

Viola Heick, 82, Mott, ND, formerly New England, ND, died Friday, February 7, 2003, at the West River Regional Medical Center, Hettinger, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. , Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, New England, ND, with Fr. Kuriakose Nediakala celebrating. Interment will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, New England, ND. Visitation will be held at Price-Murphy Funeral Home Monday from 9 a. m. 3 p. m. and will continue at the church beginning at 4 p. m. with a rosary at 7 p. m. Visitation will continue Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the service. Viola Heick was born April 9, 1920, to Isadore and Otilia Marthe in Richardton, ND. She married Frank Heick on February 17, 1941, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, New England. She worked at New England Drug for many years. Frank died September 7, 1997. Viola entered Good Samaritan Nursing Home in 1999. She enjoyed making quilts and dancing and was a member of St. Mary?s Altar guild. Viola is survived by one daughter, Carol Olsen, Bismarck; three sons, Bob (Sharon), Sidney, Mont. ; Paul (Jeannie), Bismarck, and Dale, St. Louis, MO. ; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Ed (Martha) Marthe, Cosmopolitan, Wash. , and Tony (Jean) Marthe; and one sister, Irene Wolf, Sparks, Nev. She was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; and one brother, Willy.
